Over the Hump…(and a new initiative?)

Though I did do some procrastinating this morning, the run is done. Ran to the usual pe-p today and it went fine. Spent part of the time running planning out the rest of my day. As long as it’s in my head, I don’t necessarily have to put it down on paper. Maybe someday I’ll come up with poetry in my head while jogging; I’ve composed in my head before. The LA River still smells like dirty hamster cages, I don’t know how the guys that are building the park can stand it, they have to be around it all day long.
I think I’ll extend the pe-p tomorrow, I ran at a medium pace today and it was fine coming back. Also did a slow-paced warm-down jog which kept my heart rate up just enough to be aerobic.
I mentioned after Sunday’s workout that I was going to be very sore the next few days, well now is part of a next few days and I’m pleased to say that I’m not so sore at all. There are slight discomforts, but nothing that affects my running in any noticeable way.
In other news:
I’ve been tossing around thoughts in my mind about starting a muscle tone program specifically centered around the abs. I’d like to see if through hard work and good eating I can achieve six-pack abs. I’m a relatively skinny guy as it is, but I do have a belly, so if I can work my way to a six-pack, I think most other people can too. I’m still not sure whether I want to push the go button on this thing yet. It’ll take a long-term regular time commitment and lots of self-discipline. I’m not going to ponder this thing for too much longer, if it’s a go, then you’ll know within the next few days.
ILR level=27
Good run, good fun!
